Yingling Aviation Provides Regular Service Customers With AvConnect Aircraft Management and Record-Keeping
October 29, 2012 (Wichita, Kansas) Yingling Aviation, the long-time fixed based operator, maintenance, repair and overhaul center located at Wichita’s Mid-Continent Airport, is teaming with AvConnect, suppliers of General Aviation’s most advanced technology in pilot and aircraft management, to provide qualified maintenance clients with unique and valuable operational benefits at no additional cost-- online aircraft and pilot record-keeping, flight data collection and analysis, flight planning and archiving.
“At Yinglng, we are always looking for better ways to stay connected to our customers. AvConnect offers a readily accessible, simple-to-use program that monitors all essential aircraft and pilot data, , flight information and service information that operators use to plan their maintenance ,” said Bob Gallop, Yingling’s vice president , Repair Station Operations. “Having access to this information means we’ll be able to better communicate with and support our regular customers, especially when it comes to upcoming maintenance events, regulatory compliance and budget planning. Through this arrangement with AvConnect we’ll be able to issue regularly-scheduled reports that include accurate and fact-based information, and eliminate virtually all of their documentation and record-keeping concerns while helping them accurately track their costs of operation. ”
Yingling and AvConnect will maintain an online account for each participating customer that is updated through a variety of outside applications—including dedicated iPhone and iPad apps, flight downloads from the FAA, aircraft and flight data from onboard systems. This will greatly decrease a pilot’s workload and eliminate the most error-prone and least enjoyable part of flying.
“AvConnect and Yingling are providing our customers with a second set of eyes to monitor key data. It also helps us keep our clients informed...and ensures that we’re better informed about their aircraft, too,” Gallop concluded.
Since 1999 when Yingling was acquired by its current Chief Executive Officer Lynn Nichols, has worked closely with Cessna Aircraft Company to create business opportunities such as the installation of Oasis interiors in Cessna Caravan turboprops, creation of specific maintenance programs for piston and turboprop models and the installation of special mission packages for the Civil Air Patrol and rejuvenation of more than 250 FEDERAL EXPRESS cargo aircraft. Yingling is also the most prolific supplier of Cessna parts in the world. In addition, the Wichita-based company also offers an exceptional selection of equipment, specialty items and gifts at its Aviator’s Attic store. Yingling employs more than 100 people.
