Recruiting Specialist

Summary of Accountabilities

Help coordinate recruiting and hiring functions.  Provide general HR support.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Support and backup the Yingling Human Resources function
  2. Coordinate staffing needs through recruitment sources, screening & assessment of candidates
  3.  Processes new hire and termination paperwork
  4.  Create and maintain employee files including I-9’s
  5.  Post job openings, conduct interviews and schedule interviews
  6. Provide backup support coverage for lunch, breaks, and time-off for the front reception desk if necessary
  7.  Assist Human Resources function with filing, scanning and records retention
  8. Various other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  1.  2+ years of experience as an HR Specialist or recruiting positions
  2.  Some Undergraduate level education in Human Resources
  3.  Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint
  4.  Possess time management, planning, organizational and multi-tasking skills
  5.  Excellent presentation skills (verbal and written)
  6.  Ability to work in a professional but fast-paced environment
  7.  Must possess and maintain a current and valid driver’s license to remain employed
  8.  Good driving record. Must the requirements of Airport Authority to be receive a badge and have no ramp restrictions while employed
  9.  Able to work scheduled hours without deviation

Communication Skills

Ability to read and comprehend detailed instructions, correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write clear, concise correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one, small group, and large group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.  Good grammar and spelling skills.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.

Occasional periods of walking, sitting, rotation, bending, pushing, pulling, and reaching.

Occasionally lifting up to 35 lbs.

Additional Requirements or Skills

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent for calculations of salary, turnover etc.


Reasoning Ability

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
