Model 208 will offer new styling features as well as Garmin G1000 avionics

Wichita, KS—Yingling Aviation, which installs the popular “Oasis” interiors in Cessna Aircraft Company’s Caravan single engine turboprops, has unveiled new, restyled cabin treatments for 2008.  And, while the new designs incorporate a number of new standard features, the restyled version of the Caravan Oasis interior is available without an  increase in price.  In addition, the Model 208 Caravan will also be available with the Garmin G1000 glass cockpit that has proven to be very popular on the Skyhawk and Skylane piston singles and is standard equipment on the Mustang very light jet.

Included in the newly styled interior as standard features are two-tone executive seats with perforated leather inserts and more lumbar support, leather upholstered crew seats with painted seat frames, a dual position divan certified for takeoff and landing, forward and aft divan curtains, new sidewall tables and accent trim, new decorative lower sidewall fabric, two 110-volt sidewall outlets, redesigned storage and refreshment cabinets, and upgraded carpeting.  An FAA/EASA certified aft, stand alone toilet is also available as an option.

“These new features are being offered with no price increase in response to customer inputs and the strong market performance of the Caravan Oasis,” explained Yingling President and CEO Lynn Nichols.  “We continue to see increases in orders, both domestically and internationally and expect that trend to continue. We have completed 18 aircraft in the last year and are projecting 23 orders over the next 12 months.  There are currently 75 Caravan Oasis aircraft in service.

“The airplane is an extremely versatile and attractive option for customers who are seeking a way to transport passengers in style and comfort.  It’s presently available in six different floor plans with seating for up to eight passengers.  We have new versions of the Oasis interior for 2008 installed on demonstration aircraft, serial numbers 208B-1258 and 1259, which are being exhibited at the 60th annual National Business Aviation Association Convention in Atlanta, Georgia.  Serial number 1258 is featured in the Cessna Static Display at Fulton County Airport,” Nichols added.
