MRO Receives 2022 Platinum Garmin Aviation Award

WICHITA, Kan. – For the fourth consecutive year, Yingling Aviation, an MRO and FBO in Wichita, Kan., has been recognized as a top Garmin® Avionics dealer. Yingling first received a Gold Award of Excellence in 2019 and has achieved Platinum Performance awards for 2020, 2021, and now 2022.

Garmin’s Platinum Award is the highest level of recognition for Garmin Avionics dealers, given to the top 5% in the world. Dealers are selected based on their technical knowledge, customer service and sales during the prior year. As a Garmin authorized flight deck dealer and installer, Yingling Aviation was recognized for its performance as part of the Garmin Integrated Flight Deck (IFD) dealer network.

According to Yingling Aviation’s Director of Avionics Dominic Stremel, this achievement is a sign that pilots and owners can trust Yingling to keep their aircraft operating safely.

“As a top performer for Garmin Avionics, this award shows we’re a dealer with industry-leading experience that can handle the modifications that customers need and trust,” Stremel said.

Of Yingling’s Garmin expertise, Malone Air Charter Director of Maintenance Ryan Aringdale said, “After our first site visit, it became very apparent that Yingling was exceedingly capable of the installation and supporting the Garmin G5000. The technicians were all very knowledgeable and transparent before, during, and after the installation.”

Stremel credits Yingling’s experience with Garmin G5000®, GFC™ 500/600 autopilot installations, and complex special missions’ aircraft for helping the company earn its third Garmin Platinum Award.

“We’re a frontrunner in the industry for Citation Excel and XLS G5000 installation. We’ve completed 17 since 2021, which makes us one of the most experienced G5000 installation facilities in the world,” Stremel said.

According to Stremel, Yingling has installed 150 GFC autopilots in the past three years on Cessna Caravans; Conquest I & II; Cessna 340, 414, and 421; and Beechcraft King Air C90 and E90. He says his team’s expertise with these aircraft makes them successful.

“We have autopilot specialists on our team who can efficiently navigate the installation of complex autopilot interfaces,” Stremel said.

Yingling’s Garmin Avionics services also include the Excel Eagle program, Conquest I & II G600 TX with EIS, Garmin G1000® NXi and government programs.
